Top-notch Building and Facilities
CityUHK is uniquely located at the heart of Hong Kong, Asia’s World City. The University is equipped with world-class laboratories and state-of-the-art teaching facilities which enable our researchers and students to pursue excellence in their work and studies.
For instance, the Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre was designed by the eminent architect Daniel Libeskind and was selected as one of the 10 most spectacular university building in the world by Emporis. The Lau Ming Wai Academic Building has received awards in recognition of the “green” features incorporated into its design and construction.
The CityU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and the University Farm in Lam Tsuen are the first of its kind and important training facilities for our Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine programme.
Upon the completion in 2025, the Jockey Club One Health Tower will provide first-class teaching and research facilities for the University.
Student Residence
Our 11 halls at Cornwall Street and Jockey Club House provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with quality of services and amiable ambience in enhancing one’s social, emotional and intellectual calibers. Lee Shau Kee Student Residence Village at Whitehead, Ma On Shan was also put into use in 2024 to provide more than 2000 bed spaces for students. Off-campus Accommodation in town is also reserved by the University for the needed. One new phase of student residence is in the pipeline to enlarge the overall supply of bed places.
