The College of the Bahamas

After more than thirty-five years of serving The Bahamas, first as a two-year institution, then as a four-year degree-granting College, COB expects to become The University of The Bahamas. As it transitions to university status, the institution will continue to deliver excellent undergraduate teaching while developing new undergraduate and graduate programmes, increasing research and innovation activities, and focusing its work in areas crucial to national development. The Vision: The University of The Bahamas will be the nation's primary resource for research & innovation and community engagement. It will meet the educational aspirations of its students and nurture their creativity. It will promote the values of learning, leadership and service. The Mission: The mission of The University of The Bahamas is to support and drive national development through teaching, research & innovation and service to the community.
