Since 1968 The Danish National School of Performing Arts (Statens Scenekunstskole) has educated actors, dancers, choreographers sound & light technicians and designers, stage & production manager, scenographers, and directors. By offering eleven different educations in all aspects of theatre and contemporary dance, The Danish National School of Performing Arts (Statens Scenekunstskole) is the main educational institution in Denmark within the fields of acting, dance, choreography, scenography, light and sound design, musical accompaniment for dance, dance partnership, production and stage management. The Danish National School of Performing Arts hosts about 130 students, who work in an interdisciplinary study environment, where it is possible to focus on your own subject while also engaging in productions and performances of all sizes. The students’ professional competence is developed through internships and through teaching and training from a number of professional educators from Denmark and abroad.
