Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) is a multi-profile higher educational establishment that is dually subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education of Ukraine with specific study conditions.
Number of faculty staff (250 full-time + 58/part-time)
Number of faculty staff with PhD (154 full-time + 45 part-time)
DSUIA embraces all stages of education: Bachelor, Master, internship, PhD studies, advance training and post-graduate studies. The strategic goal of the university is a development and improvement of educational programs, taking into account technological innovations, and the modernization of teaching methodology.

University has three laboratories today:
Educational-and-Scientific Laboratory in Studying Preventive Activity Problems
Scientific Laboratory in Social Monitoring of Educational and Scientific Institute of Part-Time Education and Advance Training
Scientific-and-Educational Laboratory for the Research in Combatting Organized Crime and Corruption
University scientists actively conduct scientific research on the implementation and protection of human rights and freedoms, protection of public order and security; economic security; psychological health; issues of juvenile prevention; combating organized crime and corruption; countering domestic violence and violence against children; combating human trafficking and gender discrimination; problems of protection of internally displaced persons, etc.
DSUIA has 6 scientific schools headed by the leading scientists of the university.
DSUIA is the founder and publisher of two scientific professional periodicals: Scientific Bulletin of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs and "Philosophy, Economics and Law Review". Leading domestic and foreign scientists publish their scientific works here.
The university provides image-building of scientific-practical events of various levels, the number of such events is more than 70 annually.
DSUIA is the organizer of the following competitions - the All-Ukrainian competition for the best legal publication, which is held jointly with the All-Ukrainian public organization "Association of Ukrainian Lawyers" with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; "The best young scientist"; University competition for the best scientific work among students of HE.
Among the scientists of the University, there are winners of scientific competitions for receiving awards and scholarships of various levels. In particular, the competition for a scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists, a scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for outstanding merit in the field of HE, "Best Young Scientist", "Young Scientists of Dnipropetrovsk Region", etc.
The University is participating in consolidated scientific rankings:
“Top-200” rating of the Ukrainian universities and occupies the 129th position.
Webometrics – 81st position in the ranking of Ukrainian HE institutions.
Scholar Metrics Rankings - 51st position in the ranking of Ukrainian HE institutions.
Since 2018, the Lithuanian Law Center, the only one in Ukraine, has been opened at the University, which works under the patronage of the Lithuanian Embassy in Ukraine. The goal of the Center is to expand the professional relationships between the scientists of the DSUVS and Lithuanian partners in the field of advocacy and legislative activities. Among the university's priorities is to expand international partnerships to fulfill the main mission - high-quality training of employees, developing practical skills, and improving professional competencies.
The University is constantly establishing international relations in the scientific and educational spheres, which involves the joint conduct of scientific research, scientific and practical events, training, joint participation in research projects, exchange programs for students of HE and scientific and pedagogical workers, etc. DSUIA cooperates with more than twenty foreign countries, including Poland, Germany, the USA, Austria, Croatia, Spain, Lithuania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and others..
The University conducts an active International grant activity:
Bulgarian governmental program “Bulgarian Development Aid”.
Governmental grant of the Czech Republic “Cooperation in Developing Security with Ukraine 2020”.
Grant of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea “Official Assistance for the Development”.
Council of Europe: “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Building Solutions”.
