Duzce University

Foundations of Düzce University dates back to Düzce Vocational School which was an academic branch of Istanbul Technical University Sakarya Engineering Faculty.

In 1992, with the establishment of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University in Bolu,Düzce University has entered into a new phase on its way to become an university, Apart from Düzce Vocational School, establishment of Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Technical Education, Faculty of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Akçakoca School of Tourism and Hotel Management and Akçakoca Vocational School were tied to Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University which in the future would accelerate the development of the university in Düzce. Afterwards, with the act dated on 17 March 2006 and number 26111 in official gazette with 5467 code number, the schools and faculties in Düzce were divided from Abant İzzet Baysal University and started its academic and teaching studies under Düzce University with its “generating value” principle motto.

While in the first years of its establishment there were 3 faculties and 5700 students; Düzce University today with more than 30 thousand students, 12 Faculties, one Institute, 2 Schools, 10 Vocational Schools and more than 30 research centers, a Technopark and with a Research and Application Hospital is a favorite, prestigious and distinguished  institution.

From its establishment on 17 March 2006  till today in the light of generating values motto; with scientific researches, added value projects and activities, with regional development from a tiller to a plane tree, Düzce University with its entrepreneur, revisionist and transparent administration culture pursues its activities with merit and success.

With serving scientific knowledge to the concern of  society motto, Düzce University with its modern education programs, technological capacities, qualified and equipped academic staffs continues on its way to generate new values and merits with enthusiasm.
