Available programs

Franklin offers an internationally focused interdisciplinary curriculum leading to the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.

Our core requirements ensure that every Franklin graduate develops a common set of competencies. These central experiences are what define Franklin graduates and give them the foundation on which to build further understanding, establish a career and rise to leadership. Franklin's undergraduate learning goals articulate the competencies, skills and state of development that all Franklin students should reach by the end of their university careers, regardless of their specific field of study. The core requirements include intercultural competencies, international engagement, social responsibility, and language competencies to name a few.

One core requirement is Academic Travel. Travel is at the center of Franklin's educational mission, and we believe that there is no classroom experience that will provide the same level of understanding as actually packing your bags and going to see, feel and taste a place that you have studied.  Academic Travel courses are taught by professors that have personal knowledge of the location to be studied and academic, professional or research interest in the country that will be visited.  Over 20 Academic Travel courses are offered each year, with destinations including India, Japan, Iceland, Southern Africa, Thailand, and the US, not to mention various urban and rural locations in nearly every country in Europe.

Franklin offers 16 undergraduate major programs and the flexibility to design your own academic plan working with an academic advisor. There are options for students to choose what works for their interests and the career they'd like to pursue.

Students seeking to pursue a career in research and scholarship may be interested in entering the international Honors Program.  The university's Honors Program participants dedicate additional time to developing their research skills through the annual Honors Seminar and the Honors Senior Capstone Experience Preparation Workshop.  These courses are particularly challenging and require a dedicated investment of intellect and imagination.

Franklin University Switzerland’s graduate programs take advantage of its cross-cultural environment and central location in Europe to provide internationally-focused Master’s degree programs. Students learn from Franklin faculty and visiting experts, and will have the opportunity to develop skills on the job as an intern or project participant. Students collaborate with professionals both in Switzerland and internationally, and  graduate with a strong skill set, first-hand experiences and connections.

Maser of Arts in Political Economy of Money and Development

The M.A. in Political Economy of Money and Development will encourage you to explore new, post-crisis views and develop a critical understanding of international economics on theoretical and practical levels.  The program is course-based, with a final phase centered on research and an optional internship.  Graduates will have a strong foundation on which to build a career in a wide array of organizations or continue their research in a Ph.D. program.

Master of Science in International Management

The M.S. in International Management (MSIM) program will immerse you in a simulated working environment, in which you will progress through your learning journey peer-to-peer, in teams, through personal coaching and mentoring, and finally on the job.  In the final phase, you will work with executives from top global organizations on real projects.
