University information

The admissions requirements differ based on the programme of individual choice. However, the typical admissions requirements for undergraduate studies typically comprise of the following. 

  • High school diploma, IB diploma, Baccalauréat 
  • High school transcripts  
  • University transcripts (for students planning to enter 2nd or 3rd year of a programme)
  • CV/Resume 
  • Essays and academic references 
  • Scan of passport 
  • English proficiency results (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English, Duolingo English Test)

To get enrolled into year one of certain undergraduate programmes, students are required to complete an entrance examination Concours SESAME

When applying for an MSc, MBA or an advanced master’s programme, students are required to complete an online application form and submit scanned copies of all original supporting documents translated to English or French. To enrol, you'll need the same documents required for undergraduate programmes, plus proof of your undergraduate education and evidence of strong quantitative abilities from exams such as the GRE, GMAT, and CFA. The admissions process for certain advanced master’s programmes, could also include an interview stage.

For doctoral programs and PhDs, applicants must submit proof of their postgraduate education and professional experience, along with the standard set of required documents.

Apart from these, an additional admissions requirement for international students would include a valid visa and to verify requirements with their local French consulate.

Semard Campus:

An urban campus in the heart of the Alps - The main Grenoble Ecole de Management campus, situated strategically in the center of Grenoble, capital of the French Alps, is the emblem of the school and of its brand. The campus is also an innovation hub and offers a dedicated space known as “the hall” for events such as company meetings, CSR workshops, festivals, fashion shows and sales.

GEM Labs:

Grenoble Ecole de Management’s second Grenoble campus is in the heart of Grenoble’s scientific peninsula. This campus is home to a unique Lab dedicated to innovation, and offers GEM students, teachers and partners a wonderful place for experimentation, where immersion and experiential learning take center stage. A few of the laboratory facilities available at this campus include;

  • The BIZ Lab which is a simulation and testing platform.
  • Playground which is a platform dedicated to serious games and gamification. 
  • TIM Labs, which is a platform dedicated to collaborative innovation and innovation teams.

Paris Campus:

It has been designed and furnished in accordance with the social and environmental responsibility of the Grenoble school: zero-waste, green surfaces to encourage biodiversity, close to public transport, offering modular and connected spaces, adapted to new teaching methods.

  • Living on campus

To arrange housing during the academic term, GEM offers students a dedicated platform called “Studapart”, providing a range housing related services including booking assistance, cancellation support, and ongoing help throughout their stay. 

Access to the platform is granted upon receiving the school acceptance letter and students advised to book accommodation well in advance. The monthly budget required for housing typically ranges from €450 to €850 in Grenoble and €900 to €1200 in Paris. Additionally, Campus France student grant-holders have the opportunity to inquire about CROUS accommodation options through Campus France.

  • Health and wellbeing services

GEH’s health & inclusion department provides support services to students relevant to all situations of disability, mental health, physical health and neurodiversity. The department houses a remotely operated psychological support unit which is available 24/7 to the students, and a medical concierge service to help book appointments with GPs and specialists.

Associations like Altigliss, The Sports Office – Bureau Des Sports (BDS), and Ici Commence l'Océan (I.C.O) facilitates various sports activities withing GEM. Altigliss organises the GEM Altigliss Challenge, the student ski World Cup each year, the sports office organises key events at GEM, such as the Derby Rhône-Alpes among many others and I.C.O focuses mainly on sailing and water sports. 

For students who are pursuing a career in athletics or sports, GEM provides training courses along with personalised support and adapted training methods, allowing them to continue their education alongside the sports career.
