Introduction to the MBA (MPA) Center of Harbin University of Commerce
The MBA (MPA) Center of Harbin University of Commerce is a secondary teaching unit directly under the university. Approved by the Ministry of Education, the Center commenced its MBA (Master of Business Administration) program in 2004 and launched its MPA (Master of Public Administration) program in 2011.
Leveraging the university's preeminent disciplines—including Business Administration, Applied Economics, Public Administration, and Law—the Center consolidates the finest faculty resources from across the entire university. It has assembled a formidable team of educators for both MBA and MPA programs, distinguished by their profound academic expertise and extensive practical management experience. The current faculty comprises 113 members, including 57 professors and 15 associate professors, supplemented by 41 adjunct professors who are experts from government agencies, enterprises, and universities worldwide.
MBA Program: The MBA program aims to cultivate outstanding professional managers, entrepreneurs, and management elites who possess an international perspective, an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a high sense of social responsibility. Students are equipped with modern management knowledge and skills in market operations, capital operation, and corporate finance, while practicing sustainable development. Catering to career development needs, the program offers five specialized tracks: Financial Management, Russia-oriented Business Management, Agricultural Enterprise Management, State-owned Enterprise Management, and Tourism & Hospitality Management. Building on these tracks, specific research areas include Corporate Strategic Management, Digital and Intelligent Marketing & E-commerce, Project Management, Human Resource Management, Internet Finance & Investment Management, Financial Management, Tourism & Hospitality Management, and Cross-border E-commerce & International Business Management.

These professionals are prepared to meet the demands of market economic development and the requirements of governing the country by law and administering according to law, focusing on public affairs, public management, and public policy. In alignment with students' professional realities, the MPA program offers five specialized tracks: Fiscal and Taxation Management, Government and Public Service Management, Judicial Administration, Financial Supervision and Management, and Rural Revitalization and Grassroots Governance.
Over the past two decades, the MBA (MPA) Center has cultivated over 3,000 senior management professionals, making significant contributions to regional and national economic development and social progress. Many alumni are active in government agencies, public institutions, and business enterprises across various sectors.
