Inha University was founded in 1954 as an Engineering College and was established at the donations of Korean immigrants to Hawaii – the name itself comes from the abbreviation of Incheon and Hawaii. Engineering is still very strong at the university with 18 engineering majors offered at Inha, but other schools and faculties including the college of Business Administration and the school of Asia Pacific Logistics have been added since. Now Inha has expanded to include more than 20,000 enrolled students, who are actively involved in study and research at 10 colleges, 2 schools. International Students are welcome to apply for undergraduate study programs offered at Inha university. Students may start their study either as a freshmen or transfer student according to their academic background and the number of school years completed. There are seperate rounds of admission procedures specifically targeting international students in order to address their different needs and experience which differ from local Korean students.
