Inner Mongolia University

Inner Mongolia University’s academic system is wide-ranging and it covers 10 disciplines such as philosophy, economics, law, literature, history, sciences, engineering, agriculture, management and art theory. Two of the state-level key disciplines, Chinese Ethnic Language & Literature and zoology with their distinctive local and ethnic characteristics enjoy high prestige at home and abroad. Now the University consists of 23 colleges with 51 departments and one independent department for general education. Inner Mongolia University has 7 first-level and 3 second-level disciplines Doctor Degree programs, 26 first-level and 6 second-level disciplines Master Degree programs, 8 specialized Master Degree programs, 72 undergraduate majors and 4 post-doctorate working stations.Students of Inner Mongolia University enjoy an educational system of various levels, including full-time education, vocational education, adult education and the foreign student education. The University has formed education programs of different levels such as doctoral, postgraduate, undergraduate and higher vocational and technical education programs, etc. The current number of students at different levels in the University amounts to 30,793, including 410 post graduate students, 4,053 graduate students, 18,694 undergraduate students, 2,710 vocational college students and 2,629 adult education students. Since its establishment, around 90 thousand students have graduated. Many of them have become senior administrative personnel or taken the lead in academic fields including 4 Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Science and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
