About Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics

Established in 1960, Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics (IMUFE) is the only independent, region-level institution of higher education in Inner Mongolia specializing in finance and economics. As one of the university's most established schools, the School of Business Administration serves as the leading unit for the development of the first-level discipline of Business Administration.

The School offers three undergraduate programs: Business Administration, Human Resource Management, and Engineering Management. It also provides two academic master's degree programs in Enterprise Management and Techno-Economic Management. It is a degree-granting authority for the professional Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Among these, the Business Administration program has been selected as a national-level first-class undergraduate program for development, and the Human Resource Management program as an autonomous region-level first-class undergraduate program for development. The School boasts two autonomous region-level first-class courses—Management and Human Resource Management—and it is home to two autonomous region-level excellent teaching teams: the "Business Administration Core Curriculum Teaching Team" and the "Management Course Teaching Team."

With the central focus on fostering a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, the School upholds its motto: "Upholding Reason, Promoting Business Philosophy, Achieving Wisdom, and Serving the People." Oriented towards serving economic and social development, the School centers on talent cultivation, takes discipline development as its lead, and views faculty development as the key, thereby implementing the development strategy of "Establishing the School with Quality, Strengthening the School with Talent, and Invigorating the School with Research." It has now formed an educational framework with undergraduate education as its foundation, complemented by the coordinated development of postgraduate (including MBA) education. The School is committed to building a multi-level, high-level management discipline system that is influential at home and holds a leading position within the autonomous region, becoming an important base for management talent cultivation and theoretical research in China's western region.

For four consecutive years, the School has won authoritative awards jointly issued by China Business Radio (CBR) and Tencent: "2021 MBA Benchmark Institution," "2022 MBA Institution for Social Impact," "2023 MBA Institution for Outstanding Comprehensive Strength," and "2024 Business School for Brand Influence." In the last five years, faculty members have presided over a total of 15 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC). They have also published over 60 high-level papers in authoritative domestic and international journals such as Management World, Nankai Business Review, and SSCI-indexed journals.

Looking ahead, for the Business Administration discipline, the university's development strategy will continue to be implemented. Taking international accreditation as an opportunity, it will solidify its disciplinary foundation, innovate talent cultivation models, and broaden its global perspective. The School is dedicated to cultivating high-caliber, interdisciplinary, and applied management professionals equipped with digital intelligence, who are dedicated to their region and serve the nation with a global perspective.
