Innopolis University

Established in 2012, Innopolis University is an English-speaking university in Russia, primarily focused on teaching and research in the fields of IT and Robotics. The university is home to 213 faculty members and research staff from 22 countries and 804 (2020/2021) students at Undergraduate, Graduate and Doctoral Levels. With the English language being the only medium of instruction, the university provides an encouraging and comfortable international environment complemented by modern study, living and sports facilities. 

As of 2020/2021 academic year, the students of Innopolis University have opportunities to pursue the following programs: 

• Bachelor of Computer Science;
• Master of Software Engineering;
• Master of Data Analisys and Artificial Intelligence;
• Master of Security and Network Engineering;
• Master of Robotics and Computer Vision;
• Postgraduate Program in Foundations of Computer Science. 

Students from all over the world are also welcome to apply for internships at any of the 15 scientific research laboratories and 7 scientific centers of Innopolis University working in the various fields of IT and Robotics from Computer Security and Machine Learning to Bioinformatics and Cognitive Robotics. The internships can be conducted onsite, virtually part-time, virtually full-time, or combined with part of the internship being onsite and part of it virtually.

In 2017, Innopolis University won a grant competition for the creation and development of the National Center of Competency for an Open-Ended Technology in Robotics and Mechatronics. Supervised by Innopolis University, the consortium includes 16 Russian universities, 5 applied science institutes, 7 foreign partners from France, China, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Norway, and 16 industrial partners. The center is focused on the development of industrial and collaborative robotics and the creation of new robotic solutions for such industries as medicine and rehabilitation, household, agriculture, and transport.

To share and integrate the best international practices, Innopolis University actively develops a global network of academic partners. Essential areas of academic cooperation for Innopolis University include but not limited to research internships, student exchange, joint research, and joint labs.

As of 2020, the global network of Innopolis University includes 43 academic partners worldwide including universities with leading positions in the global rankings such as University of Luxembourg, Middle East Technical University, University of Innsbruck, University of L’Aquila, Windesheim University of Applied Science, University of Bonn, University of Messina, Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Sapienza University of Rome, Beijing Institute of Technology, Hanyang University, National University of Singapore, Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Seoul National University, and other organizations.

Innopolis University is engaged in significant academic exchange sending and receiving students, faculty members and administrative staff from various countries such as Austria, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, and others.
