Founded in 1875, the Catholic University of Paris (Institut Catholique de Paris - ICP) is the inheritor of the Medieval Liberal Arts Colleges and lies in the tradition of the Sorbonne, the oldest academic institution in France. ICP belongs to the European Higher Education Area and delivers ECTS (European Credits Transfer System). ICP is also a major actor of the, global Catholic network of higher education. ICP delivers State Degrees recognized at National and European level (Bachelor, Master and Doctorate Degrees), Canonical Diplomas as well as its own Diplomas. Part of ICP, the ILCF (Institute of French Language and Culture) offers recognised certifications.
