About IT University of Copenhagen

The IT University of Copenhagen is a Danish, globally-oriented, independent educational and research institution.The IT University is creating more IT graduates, than any other university in Denmark and offers a variety of research based study programmes within the field of IT. From games and communication to business and software development. With our multidisciplinary approach to IT, this is the place where innovative minds create new IT and knowledge on the highest international level.Study ProgrammesAt the IT University we have approximately 2,000 students who bring a unique combination of national and academic backgrounds to the university, such as natural science, social science, business and liberal arts. Approximately one fourth of the students are international students from all over the world, and help make our university global.The IT University offers three Bachelor of Science (BSc in IT) study programmes, but only one programme is offered completely in English. •Global Business Informatics (UK) •Digital Media and Design (DK/UK) •Software Development (DK)The IT University offers four Master of Science (MSc in IT) study programmes in IT, but not all are offered in English. Various courses in the Danish study programmes will however be offered in English. •Games (UK) •Software Development and Technology (UK)•E-Business (IT & Business) (DK) •Digital Media and Design (DK)ResearchThe stated objective of the university's research is to strengthen Denmark's ability to create value with IT. The research aims to provide new insight that could be the foundation for new types of interaction, new breakthroughs in digital culture, better resource optimisation, technological innovation and much more. An important part of the research is the PhD program. Each year, The IT University enrols PhD students from all over the world. These students work closely with the faculty on their research projects in order to develop their research skills and their international network.
