Karlshochschule International University is situated in Karlsruhe, Germany.

What makes the location so attractive is that it’s a student city and full of cultural heritage.

The institution prides itself on the free, critical mindset it teaches students, or more affectionately known as the “Karls Spirit.”

Programs are taught in English at Karlshochschule, however, some parts are taught in German. But the university also provides language courses in English, German, Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

Karlshochschule International University only has the one campus in Karlsruhe, Germany.

The university has spacious seminar rooms, one central event hall for 400 people, a roof terrace, on-site library and so much more.

Around 50 percent of students are international with more than 50 nationalities represented.

There are several student initiatives at Karlshochschule. They are self-organized and usually cover a specific topic for students to engage in, e.g. environment, business consulting or events. Students can start their own initiative and receive support from the university. There are also a number of facilities and clubs at the university for students to enjoy.

Karlshochschule doesn’t provide on-site housing as it is a small private university, however, there is public student housing available through the Studierendenwerk Karlsruhe.

To earn a spot at the university students will need to demonstrate academic aptitude, open-mindedness, and engagement in society.

Fees are the same for international students as for domestic students. Any documentation needs to be officially translated and legalized by embassy.

There aren’t any specific scholarships for international students, but there are some based on youth organizations. You can find out more information about fees and financing here.

The university supports students in finding their compulsory company internship and the company projects that are part of the curriculum.
