Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University

Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) is a higher education institution located in Yerevan, Armenia with eminent traditions in pedagogical education. ASPU was founded in 1922 and functions in organising educational activities and scientific research in the fields of Sciences and Humanities with focus on pedagogy and psychology. It is the leading provider of teacher training and pedagogy in Armenia that trains competent teachers and educators in various professional domains. The university implements a three-level education (Bachelor, Master and Doctorate Studies) with 41 Bachelor and 47 Master programs. 

Being one of the oldest and most traditional educational institutions in the Republic of Armenia, today it is also regarded to be one of the most advanced universities due to the recent developments, a variety of educational reforms and internationalisation activities.   The University displays considerable progress with an ongoing enlargement of international relationships by cooperating with a series of foreign universities, European organisations as a result of which the whole system is recurrently reconsidered and adopted in accordance with the modern European standards. It is actively involved in student, academic and administrative staff exchange programs, international capacity building and research projects, organises international conferences, summer school programs, seminars and conferences.
