King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok is a leading public university in Thailand specializing in engineering, technology, and applied sciences. Established in 1959, the institution originated as the Thai-German Technical School through a collaboration between the Thai government and the Federal Republic of Germany, aiming to develop a skilled technical workforce aligned with industrial needs. Over time, the institution evolved into North Bangkok Technical College (1964) and later became part of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology in 1971, which unified three technical campuses. In 1986, it gained independent university status, and in 2007 it was officially renamed KMUTNB as an autonomous state university. KMUTNB currently operates across three main campuses located in Bangkok, Prachinburi, and Rayong, covering over 200 hectares.
