The Imaging Sciences Intercalated BSc is a stand-alone study course designed to give students an in-depth understanding of the science and technology behind modern medical imaging techniques, and an introduction to their clinical application. The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the scope and complexities of modern medical imaging. Medical Imaging is one of the most important diagnostic tools of modern medicine, enables medical professionals to see internal structures, organ functions and even cell and molecular processes related to disease. The School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences at King’s College London is at the forefront of research, development, education and training in all aspects of medical imaging. The School has an international reputation and with Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s Health Trust, provides access to a wide selection of modern imaging and measurement systems for teaching and research.
