Kocaeli University was founded in 1992 with the law numbered 3837. As of January 2025, Kocaeli University has 2800 academic staff including 406 professors, 415 associate professors, 300 assistant professors, 414 lecturers, 1260 research assistants, and 1950 administrative staff who work for 18 faculties, 3 schools, 1 state conservatory, 16 vocational training schools, 4 institutes, 24 Research Centres/Units. As of January 2025, 60.491 students continue their education and training at our university.
