Politics and Philosophy MA

This interdisciplinary programme offers you the opportunity to undertake sustained and focused study in the disciplines of politics and philosophy. With a number of staff working across Philosophy and Politics, our programme typically covers a variety of approaches to the study of both Philosophy and Politics. You will take five taught modules each assessed by a 5,000 word essay. The programme culminates in the writing of a 20,000-word dissertation in a subject area of your own choosing that has been agreed in partnership with an academic supervisor. Throughout this programme our intention is to enable you to develop your research and analytical skills, skills that could be used in a range of careers. The programme can also provide a foundation for those looking to pursue academic careers.
