Through internationally oriented Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, Leibniz University Hannover provides exciting academic opportunities for international students. The Clusters of Excellence and key research areas, in addition to many other prospects, provide outstanding circumstances for (young) researchers to thrive.
At Leibniz University there are currently almost 30,000 students studying in nine faculties, and some 3,100 researchers working in more than 150 institutes. The main building of the university is the Royal Palace Welfenschloss at the Welfengarten. Cooperation agreements with national and international partners strengthen our scientific expertise.

Hannover is the capital of the Federal State of Lower-Saxony and lies in the heart of Germany. All the important transport routes, from north to south, from east to west, roads or rails, all go through Hannover. A trip to Berlin, for example, takes about 1.5 hours by train. If a trade city is more appealing to you, Hamburg is only a 2-hour long train ride away! In addition, the city is connected with the world thanks to Hannover's international airport.
