Artificial intelligence is reshaping every industry – from personalised beauty tech and social robots to predictive analytics and next-generation automation. With the global AI market projected to exceed $1 trillion in the next five years, demand is soaring for professionals who can design, evaluate and deploy intelligent systems that are ethical, efficient and human-centred.

The Master of Information Technology in Artificial Intelligence will prepare you to meet that demand. You’ll explore advanced machine learning, natural language processing and automated decision-making in business, while examining the ethical and legal frameworks that guide responsible AI. Collaborative, project-based learning will develop your workplace capability, which you’ll extend through an industry-based internship or supervised research project. You’ll study in our state-of-the-art 14-lab computing precinct, and engage with research conducted by the Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence and the Frontier AI Research Centre. And, you’ll have opportunities to connect with organisations actively applying AI in their products and operations, such as Fujitsu, Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi and Schneider Electric, in the neighbouring Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District.
