MARI STATE UNIVERSITY

Mari State University is situated in the city of Yoshkar-Ola, the capital of the multinational Republic of Mari El which is located in the central part of Russia. The history of Mari State University starts fr om 1972 and it is currently a major educational, scientific and cultural center of Russia.
Mari State University consists of 5 Institutes and 9 Faculties:  Faculty of Medicine,  Institute of Natural Sciences and Pharmacy,   Institute of National Culture and Intercultural Communication,   Institute of Economics, Management and Finances,  Institute of Agricultural Technologies,  Pedagogical Institute,  Faculty of Foreign Languages,  Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology,  Faculty of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism, Faculty of General Education and Professional Studies,  Faculty of Physics and Mathematics,  Faculty of Law, Faculty of History and Philology,  Faculty of Electrical Engineering
The main priority of the Mari State University is to provide students with the fundamental education in the priority spheres of science and technology. MarSU offers high-quality education on more than 97 study programs (including Information Technology, Physics, Electrical Power Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, Pharmacy, Economics, Management, Law, International Relations, Russian and Foreign Languages, etc.) and 91 further professional education programs.
Levels of study programs: Vocational Study Programs, Bachelor Programs, Master Programs, Postgraduate Programs, Medical Residency Training, Doctoral Training.
Teaching staff: more than 500 lecturers, including more than 400 candidates and doctors of sciences.
The University has more than 8,000 students including more than 2000 foreign students from 35 countries (Central and South-East Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, Africa, Europe, South America) which are studying at different faculties. MarSU cares about its students. The University has a lot of programs to help new students to integrate and adapt and in this way, it has a very friendly multinational society.
The main priority of Mari State University is quality of education and it has a highly developed infrastructure for all types of scientific activities. Mari State University has a lot of partners who are helping to provide the students with the best knowledge in different spheres of studies.
The University has more than 30 foreign partner universities. Joint research and exchange programs are conducted with the universities from Europe, America and Asia.
MarSU is the founder of the Association of Finno-Ugric Universities is a member of the Russian-Chinese Association of Classical Universities, the Eurasian Association of Universities, the Association of International Cooperation of Universities of the Volga Federal District, the Russian-Indian Association of Universities.
