Students enrolled in our master's programs hold a bachelor's degree with a specialization in the discipline (or the equivalent). The master's with thesis comprises two semesters of seminars, at the end of which the students submit a thesis project in the field of their choice, then devote their second year of the program to writing the thesis.

The first two sessions of the master's program are devoted to schooling, for students enrolled full-time; they must then follow 6 seminars of 3 credits (including FREN 697 ) and prepare their thesis subject ( FREN 696 : 3 credits). Students registered part-time must register for a minimum of two seminars per session.

The student can present a thesis in literary criticism or a thesis in literary writing.
