Based in Milan, the fashion capital of the world, Milano Fashion Institute is run by three leading Milanese universities: Bocconi University, Cattolica University and Politecnico of Milan.About 43% of Milano Fashion Institute’s 2017 cohort were international (18% were from the US, 15% were European, and the remaining 10% from the Middle East and Asia).Partly thanks to Milano Fashion Institute's strong ties with the Italian and international fashion industry, the placement rate (with both job contracts or internship contracts) at 16 months after the Degree is eauql to 97.7% .

Three one year University Master’s degrees taught in EnglishMilano Fashion Institute currently runs three master’s degrees:

  • Brand and product management
  • Brand and communication management
  • Brand and business management


Home to over 600 showrooms and 3,000 fashion brands, the city of Milan is blessed with some of the world’s most active and important public relations and advertising agencies, photographers, scouting agencies, production companies and fashion publishers.  Besides its lectures led by Bocconi University, Polytechnic of Milan and Cattolica Universities, Milano Fashion Institute also organizes networking events between students and leading fashion houses, including Gucci Group, Gianni Versace, Giorgio Armani, La Rinascente, Hugo Boss, Jil Sander, Levi’s, Max Mara Fashion Group, Miroglio Fashion Group, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino Fashion Group and Vivienne Westwood.

ScholarshipsMilano Fashion Institute offers several scholarships covering up to 50% of postgraduate tuition fees (€7,800, or about US$8,786).

At postgraduate level, Milano Fashion Institute offers three one year university master’s degrees:

  • Brand and product managementOn this course, you will gain communications, design and management skills to learn to manage and get involved in all stages of brand management, from planning to communications. 
  • Brand and communication managementLearn to translate a brand’s cultural heritage and identity into brand messaging, advertising and marketing, communication and promotion and get a chance to work in press relations, communications, digital management or design layout. 
  • Brand and business managementFrom fashion buying to marketing management and omnichannel strategy, this course will train for a number of careers in fashion business management.

    A few things to note:

To be eligible for postgraduate study at Milano Fashion Institute, you would need a bachelor’s degree    (not necessarily related to fashion) and intermediate proficiency in English. Tuition fees are €15,600 (approximately US$17,550) in four installments throughout the year. Funding is available - the university offers a number of €7,800 scholarships (approximately US$8,775).
