In this course students will learn the theory, design, techniques and practices used to develop software systems for the internet and cloud, with a focus on web-based client server applications and mobile applications. Through this Mobile and Web Application Development major, students will learn advanced web programming, mobile application development for major mobile operating system platforms, cloud computing, server database management and programming, XML and web services, and cross-platform development. Students may combine this major with another major to expand their expertise and career prospects. Recommended double majors for this course include Computer Science, Cyber Forensics and Information Security, Games Software Design and Production or Games Technology. This course is accredited at the Professional level with the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
