Overview
Mutah University (www.mutah.edu.jo) is a public and governmental university that is located in southern Jordan. It was founded in March 22, 1981 to be a national institution for higher education. It contains 2 deanships (Deanship of Scientific Research & Deanship of Students Affairs) and 15 colleges; 7 colleges of Sciences (Agriculture, Engineering, Medicine, Nursing, Science, Pharmacy, & IT; and 8 colleges of Humanities (Arts, Business Administration, Educational Sciences, Islamic Studies, Sport Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, & Graduate Studies). The university has more than 600 faculty members and more than 15000 students. It offers several undergraduate and postgraduate programs in different disciplines for national, regional, and international students. The university has developed and expanded rapidly over the past 37 years. It has become one of the best governmental universities in Jordan, gaining a high reputation at the national and regional levels.
