National Chung Cheng University (CCU) was established in 1989 in South Taiwan, Chiayi County. This area is famous for Mt. Ali and tasty pineapples. As a comprehensive university, we have 7 colleges, including Humanities, Sciences, Law, Engineering, Social Sciences, Management, and Education. There are 29 Departments and 98 Master and Doctoral Programs. Moreover, we offer English-taught degree programs and aim to be an outstanding university cultivating talents for society.
CCU also provides 6 international programs for graduate students, including The Master of Science in Advanced Manufacturing Systems, Doctoral Program in Ambient Intelligent and Smart Systems (AISS), PhD. Program in Science, Technology, Environment and Mathematics, International Master Program in Global Finance, International Program in Educational Leadership and Management Development, PhD. Program in Cognitive Science. Additionally, our Center for Language Studies organizes free Chinese courses for international students to adapt to their life in Taiwan. The Office of International Affairs provides an extra Chinese learning program during the semester to give our international students more chances to learn Chinese.
Moreover, our campus is well-instructed with facilities and living functions. We are proud of high-quality sports facilities, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools of Olympic standards, rock climbing fields, a golf practice field, a bowling alley, and other common sports facilities. A huge eight-floor library that collects more than one million books always welcomes students to use. Additionally, our campus provides convenient living functions, such as a post office, bookstore, cafeterias, convenience stores, supermarkets, glass stores, computer hardware stores, etc. CCU is an exemplary site of a Green University, too. Since 2009, the “Green Campus Program” has been funded with government support to build CCU as an exemplary site of a green campus through solar power.

Supports and Scholarships
CCU is located in a rural area where living-cost is far cheaper than in big cities. Since your arrival, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) will support every newcomer. OIA arranges voluntary students to host each newcomer to help them adapt to local life.
Additionally, our university provides a great benefit for international students with the package covering a full waiver of tuition and dorm fees for the first year-international-students who get admission.
