Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) is a prominent state university located in the northern part of Iloilo province, Philippines. Formerly known as Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College, the institution was elevated to university status through Republic Act No. 10597 and officially recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in 2022. With its main campus based in Estancia, NISU has expanded its academic reach across the region through seven external campuses located in the municipalities of Ajuy, Barotac Viejo, Batad, Concepcion, Lemery, and Sara (Victorino Salcedo campus), in addition to its Estancia West Campus. Each campus offers programs tailored to the needs and strengths of its local community, contributing significantly to the decentralization and accessibility of higher education in rural Iloilo.

NISU is mandated to provide higher and advanced instruction in fields such as education, industrial technology, engineering, agriculture, fisheries, hospitality management, criminology, and information technology.
