Northern Technical University

Northern Technical University (NTU) is one of Iraq’s leading specialized public universities, adopting a modern educational philosophy that emphasizes aligning academic outputs with the evolving demands of the labor market, particularly in the fields of sustainable and renewable energy. The University plays a pivotal role in educating and qualifying thousands of students annually by enhancing their scientific, practical, and productive competencies, thereby contributing effectively to economic and societal development at both national and local levels.

Northern Technical University comprises an integrated academic system of specialized departments and scientific disciplines across engineering, agricultural, administrative, and medical fields. The University offers academic programs leading to Technical Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees, delivered through balanced curricula that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application, in alignment with nationally and internationally recognized academic standards.

The University encompasses sixteen (16) academic formations, including eleven (11) specialized colleges among them three Polytechnic Colleges, as well as five Technical Institutes. These institutions are geographically distributed across northern Iraq in the governorates of Nineveh (Mosul), Kirkuk, and Salah Al-Din, reinforcing NTU’s role in expanding access to technical and applied education, serving the community, and advancing sustainable development goals.
