About NUCB Business School

Established in 1935 by Dr. Yuichi Kurimoto, the first international student to graduate from Canada's prestigious University of Alberta, Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) was founded under a 'Frontier Spirit' that reflected the times and the future potential of a progressive, global mindset nearly 100 years ago.   

Guided by this same 'Frontier Spirit', the mission of the NUCB Business School is to develop leaders and entrepreneurs with a global perspective, advanced management skills, and the highest ethical standards that will equip them to succeed in bridging the gap between New Asia and the rest of the world.

Frequently Asked Questions

We require submission of either a GMAT or GRE score for MBA and MSBA admission consideration. Waiver options are available for those with 8+ years of relevant work experience, but it should be noted that (1) no minimum score requirement is enforced, and the admissions committee reviews applications holistically--meaning the score alone is insufficient for determining the fitness of an applicant, and (2) our most generous scholarship is only awarded to those who submit GMAT or GRE scores at the application stage.

For those who are interested in the MBA program, we require a minimum of 3 years of professional work experience from applicants. 


The MiM and MSBA programs do not have minimum requirements for professional work experience.
