Nyack College has allowed me to grow both academically and spiritually. Nyack’s teachers and administrators truly care for their students; they do everything in their power to ensure that their students excel and learn all that is taught to them. In addition to having a learning environment that is geared toward motivating students for future success, Nyack also has a wonderful student body. This is my senior year at Nyack and I can honestly say that I have developed lifetime friendships. Nyack College means preparation for success in the church, the community, and the workplace. If you are interested in receiving a Christian education in an environment that will prepare you to do all that God has called you to do with excellence, Nyack College is the place for you My faith and career are connected: in fact, they are inseparable. That is why I chose to study at Alliance Graduate School of Counseling (AGSC). I like how AGSC professors model being decidedly Christian in the mental health field and in the classroom. Class discussion centers on case studies that incorporate faith and learning. My fellow students have become my network of Christian colleagues in the New York metropolitan area. Integrating Biblical principles with the best information the secular world has to offer has given me a renewed sense of purpose in my work, and has deepened my understanding of God, others, and myself. NYACK’S founder is widely recognized as one of the foremost figures in the American missionary movement. Dr. A.B. Simpson resigned a prestigious New York City pastorate to develop an interdenominational fellowship devoted to serving unreached people. Simpson’s view was shared by a wide group of men and women, including mainline church leaders, laborers, and theological scholars. This ever-growing alliance was bound together by a desire to inspire the church to fulfill its Great Commission of world evangelization.
