Students have access to a wide range of outstanding facilities and services during their studies at Oklahoma State University, such as:

A state-of-the art engineering laboratory that’s been providing an immersive learning experience and hands-on research opportunities since September 2018.

The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts

Opening in October 2019 with the New York Philharmonic, the McKnight Center will be a world-class epicenter for the arts, attracting celebrated national and international programs featuring notable performing arts productions and artists.

Colvin Recreation Center

The Colvin Recreation Center provides Oklahoma State University students with an incredible experience physically and socially, and has been recognized as one of the top facilities of its kind in the nation.

It offers a variety of programs and activities such as personal training and fitness classes with multiple formats for every skill level, including an outdoor pool, multiple court gyms, fitness rooms, locker rooms, a multipurpose activity gym and a 4 lane indoor jogging track. Outdoor Adventure program hosts backpacking, kayaking, mountain climbing and other outdoor trips each semester.

Oklahoma State University campus life has it all: leadership, fun activities, volunteer opportunities, concerts, sports and more. Stay active and make lifelong friends by taking advantage of the campus clubs at OSU where there are more than 500 campus organizations and nationally renowned campus recreation facilities, offering a variety of activities, concerts, sporting and cultural events.

Oklahoma State University has an exceptional athletic heritage and is a member of the Big 12 Conference and competes at the NCAA Division l level (52 national championships, 30 Olympic-medal winners and some of the nation's premier athletic facilities).

There are also dozens of intramural sports and hundreds of individual clubs where all students are welcome to participate regardless of skill level – from basketball to E-Sports, volleyball to badminton, soccer to tennis and so much more.

When it comes to the arts, students can enjoy a myriad of music concerts, art exhibitions, theatrical performances, as well as join the Oklahoma State University Symphony Orchestra.

Student accommodation

Oklahoma State University offers a variety of housing options including suites, apartments and community-style housing.

On-campus housing is all-inclusive and has been shown to lead to higher grades, better graduation rates and a vigorous social life. OSU also offers dozens of living learning programs and special-interest housing options that give you the chance to live with other students who share your interests or are taking similar classes.

Whatever your preference though, you will find your home at OSU. Freshmen are required to live in residence halls unless they are married, 21 years of age or older, or have completed 30 college credit hours.

Family and Graduate Student Housing is also available. With six neighborhoods, five floor plans, and various rates to choose from, everyone can find the perfect living accommodations. Each neighborhood is supported by student peers known as Apartment Assistants. Nearby soccer fields, garden plots, on-site laundries, 24-hour maintenance, and campus transportation make the Family and Graduate Student Housing an attractive living option.

In the city of Stillwater there are many local grocers, specialty markets, farmer's markets and supercenter stores that offer an array of fresh, organic, local and international items.

If you’re an international student who’s interested in applying to study at Oklahoma State University, you will need to submit an online application form as well as the following:

  • Copy of passport
  • English proficiency test score (TOEFL iBT or IELTS)
  • High school transcript
  • College transcript from each institution attended (if you have earned college-level credit)
  • Financial guarantee

Oklahoma State University offers an English Pathway Program for students who meet all admission requirements except the English language proficiency requirement.

Please note that international applicants will be required to pay a nonrefundable application fee of $90. This must be paid before your application can be processed.

Scholarships and additional funding

Oklahoma State University offers great scholarships for international undergraduate students which vary from $4,000 to $10,000 per academic year. International students are automatically considered for scholarships by submitting a completed application for admission, so no additional scholarship application is necessary.

There are also many assistantships and scholarships available to graduate students.

Within three months of graduation, 93% of graduating seniors in the Spears School Business had employment, job offers or other plans (such as graduate degrees).

To help students prepare for the world of work after graduating and for them to get to where they want to be, the OSU Career Services host several career fairs each year and offers a wide variety of services.

In addition, more than 800 companies from around the nation and world visit the OSU campus each year for career fairs and on-campus interviews with OSU students.

What’s more, is that the university’s international alumni spans more than 100 countries, with individuals making their mark as leaders in education, business, government, health, and many other fields across the globe.
