About People's University

The People’s University, with itsunmatched infrastructure and geo-special locational advantage, is unique in itsnature with contribution to academics, research and locally suitedcollaborative model of rural uplifting cum societal development.
The People’s University campus isspread over 69.19 acres of area near the National Highway No. 86 in Bhopal. Itis credited to be Central India’s largest single-campus University. Tree-lined avenues and lushlawns dotted with beautiful flowering shrubs soothe the eye and create an ideallearning ambiance.
The University is a non-profit andsocial cause enabler set up thus intensely enriching social fabric througheducation, training, research and collaboration. This is the only University ofCentral India having nine constituent units of seven different disciplines-Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Management, Paramedical, collectivelycontributing through intra and inters disciplinary activities. The Universityhas focused attention on setting up and diversification of its best practicesand institutional distinctiveness. The University also publishes its own UGCapproved indexed peer reviewed scientific journal – People’s Journal ofScientific Research.
The highly technical, interactive andmotivational platforms provided to the students here enable them to mostly goin favor of their outcome status being self sufficiency and market suitability,the need of modern times. The Incubator established in the University aids inthis and also helps in launch of startups.
People’s University has establishedCentral Library in University Teaching Department and separate library in eachConstituent Institutes to provide its students and staff a chance to explore aworld of knowledge in a conducive environment. The Libraries house a richcollection of text and reference books, journals, magazines, audio/videos,CD-ROMs, research reports and Digital Library etc. in all areas and branches ofstudy in all disciplines. Digital Library enables the students and staff to search theavailability, request and reserve various books and other reference materialavailable in the libraries at the comfort of their houses.
The classrooms architecturallydesigned with optimal room for natural light and air. They provide a vibrantbackdrop to the academic achievements and offer a unique place to study, relaxand develop. In this very special learning environment, LCD projectors, DeskTop etc are attached in classes.
The placement cell helps the students ingetting placed in renowned companies. The University has launched a “ThousandResearch Plan” which has lead to research publication in leading journals.
The University’s ‘Centre forScientific and Research Development’, inaugurated by President of India inyear 2008, is itself the only facility of its kind for high end researches inmultidisciplinary fields thereby contributing largely for capacity building offaculties, post graduate students and undergraduate students of this Universityin along with those from within and around Madhya Pradesh.
