Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology

Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology (Reshetnev University) is the first flagship university in Krasnoyarsk Region. It is located in the city of Krasnoyarsk, the administrative center of Krasnoyarsk Region, a large industrial, transport, scientific and cultural center of East Siberia. The population of the city is more than 1 million people. Due to the city’s location on the Yenisei River it became a gateway through the Northern Sea Route for the hinterlands of Central Siberia to the international market. District infrastructure, where the University is located, is well-developed and includes all important social objects. University campus is situated on both river banks supplied with a good traffic infrastructure. Reshetnev University is equipped with modern facilities and supplied with the social infrastructure including well-accommodated dormitories, food courts, sport facilities and the Cultural Center.

Reshetnev University plays a vital role in the city and region’s life training for the high-technology industries, business structures, financial institutions. The multilevel educational system provides an opportunity to train high-level professionals and researchers in different fields of science and technology - forestry, chemical tecnologies, information technologies and communication networks, design and production of complex machine-building equipment, technical operation of aircraft and engines, customs affairs, economics, management, advertising and PR. An integrated training system within the educational process includes the practice at the leading industrial, aviation and financial enterprises.

Reshetnev University's total enrollment is more than 20 000 students. Scientific and educational process is provided by 1255 scientific workers and teachers including 3 Academicians and 3 Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 2 Academicians and 1 Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, 154 with PhDs and 705 candidates of science. The education is provided at 11 Institutes, at 89 Departments.

Reshetnev University has partnership relations with leading universities from more than 50 countries all over the world. The main directions for collaboration are academic mobility of teaching staff and students, joint educational programs and scientific researches. Reshetnev University amounts to around 4% (440 persons) of international students from 25 countries such as the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tadjikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Congo, Nigeria, Ghana, Somalia, Laos, Siria, India, China, Germany, Turkmenistan, Azerbaidjan, Armenia, Egypt, etc.

The University does its best to provide comfortable conditions to all students for staying at the University. Students have a great chance to do sport at the premises of the Sport Center, create at the Cultural Center, and also participate in city and regional events. According to the national ranking agencies Reshetnev University steadily maintains the place among effective universities. In concordance with «Clarivate Analytics» Agency in 2019 Reshetnev University entered the top 100 best universities of the county and took the 63rd place in the ranking. A significant achievement for the University was 11th place in the category “Natural Sciences” of the Clarivate Analytics rating, which ensured the entry of Reshetnev University in the bronze league of Russian universities.
