Riphah International University

Riphah International University, Islamabad is an ISO 9001:2015 QMS certified Private Sector University, chartered by the Federal Government of Pakistan in 2002. The University was established with a view to produce professionals with Islamic moral and ethical values. It is sponsored by a not-for-profit trust; namely Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMCT), created in 1995. The first project of the IIMCT was the Islamic International Medical College, Rawalpindi, established in 1996 by its Founding Managing Trustee; Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Muhammad Zulfiqar Ali Khan, TI(M), TBt. Currently the University has fourteen constituent units and an overseas project, namely, RAK College of Dental Sciences, UAE. The University is also working on establishment of its campus in Mauritius.

The last national ranking was carried out by Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan in the year 2015. Riphah International University was included in general category universities which has total strength of 73 in the country. The private sector universities in the general category are 33 and the remaining are public sector universities. Out of 33x private sector universities Riphah International University is at 2nd position. When public and private sector universities are combined together then Riphah is at 12th position out of 73x general category universities. The international quality assurance (IQA) mechanism has been recognized at International Forum. Riphah International University won 2016 APQN’s Best Model/Internal QA Award. The award ceremony was held in Fiji Islands on 26th May, 2016. Similarly, the Director Quality Enhancement of the university was honored with 2015 APQN’s Quality Champion Award. The award ceremony was held in China on 17th Apr, 2015.
