Event management requires skills in creativity, team working and project planning. On this degree, students will engage with the tourism and events industry by working with leading events organisations, offering valuable work experience. Students will also develop live event briefs for local and regional organisations. This provides experience in managing social media for events. An optional overseas residential study tour is also included in this course during Year 2. Teaching methods include lectures, field trips, practical workshops, online debates and guest lectures.
