SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies(Deemed to be University)

NMIMS is a leader in Management Education in India, ranked among top three private and top 10 management schools in India. It was set up in 1981 by Shri Vile Parle Kalavani Mandal (SVKM) a Public Education Trust and Society since 1934 in Mumbai, India. NMIMS first accredited by NAAC and awarded 5 stars. On the basis of its performance and contribution to Management Education and fraternity and emergence as an outstanding institution, MHRD, Government of India, conferred Deemed University Status in 2003 and in 2007 continuance of NMIMS as a Deemed University on a permanent basis.

NMIMS established schools in different disciplines namely: Engineering & Technology Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Economics, Law, Liberal Arts & Continuing Education.

Often ranked among the top 100 universities in India, It has today 10 schools and three campuses besides the main campus in Mumbai. 

The university’s programs are nationally and internationally accredited by NBA, NAAC, AMBA, SAQS and Bureau of Indian Standards. Business School continues to attract applications in excess of 60,000 for a capacity of 860 MBA seats.

The Engineering School is ranked among top 50 Engineering schools in India, the BBA Program of School of Commerce 4th. FICCI awarded the University of the Year Award to NMIMS in 2016.
