About Tashkent State University of Law

Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) is one of the leading universities in Uzbekistan. The university is renowned as a national center of legal science and education, which prestige extends far beyond the borders of the Republic. It located at the core of Tashkent city, at Amir Temur square, and it has three historical buildings, which were built in 1875 and which are included in the list of cultural heritage of UNESCO.

At TSUL students and faculty enjoy friendly environment that supports both practical knowledge building and high-quality research. TSUL seeks students who are interested in promoting a deeper understanding of law issues and contributing to societal change. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on the interactive relationship of theory, research, and practice in law, often focusing on law education. Throughout their studies, students engage in extensive fieldwork. It also concern to learners and judicial trainees.

Our alumni are recognized as some of the world’s most influential education leaders, and our distinguished professors are pioneers in Law and today it includes not only leading academicians of Uzbekistan, but also great number of ministers, governors, top managers, members of Parliament, CEOs of National corporations and Olympic Champions.

There are more than 10.000 members in TSUL's alumni, and most of them hold senior management positions at judicial system, advocacy, prosecutor office and other law enforcement agencies.

The international cooperation of the University is based on about 50 agreements with foreign universities in Europe, Asia, USA research centers and research institutes, as well as embassies, international research and educational centers.

The partner universities of TSUL are Osaka University, Nagoya University, Boston Law School, Queen Mary University of London, University of Law (England), German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer, The German Research Institute of Public Law Management, National Research University – Higher School of Economics, Regensburg University, Shanghai University of Politics and Law, Ural State Law University, Polotsk State University, M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University and many others.

The University, as an independent educational and research institution, actively uses new pedagogical technologies in the educational process, conducts fundamental and scientific research on topical issues of legislation and its application, as well as legal regulation in society, carries out a wide range of spiritual and educational activities aimed at increasing awareness and legal culture.

TSUL is a “Golden Bridge” ensuring a close connection between the educational process and law enforcement practice through the development of clinical legal training.

In addition, TSUL can be characterized as:

1.              an effective mechanism for integrating science and education, students and the scientific and pedagogical community, young daring and wisdom of experience;

2.              an educational institute, equally accessible for Uzbek and International youth from all regions of the world and strata of society, effectively performing the function of a “social elevator”;

3.              center for scientific and innovative research in the field of state and law with the development of information legal technologies and systems (Legal Tech);

4.              center for the development of mechanisms for the interaction of fundamental and applied education, classical and modular educational programs, scientific workshops and theoretical lectures and seminars;

5.              the core for the development of proposals for the implementation of international law and the improvement of national legislation taking into account the results of comparative studies of law and legal systems of developed foreign countries;

6.              an intellectual center with a unique environment for generating knowledge and forming highly competitive personnel, accumulating scientific and pedagogical potential, ideas and initiatives;

7.              base of advanced scientific research, catalyst of innovative technological developments, their approbation and implementation;

8.              center for the development of the Uzbek intellectual, cultural and ideological heritage, which forms international intellectual, humanitarian and legal standards.

We can generalize that we can endlessly talk about TSUL, but for this we do not have enough strength, time, or sheets of paper.

Thus, we want to say that TSUL is ready to welcome new members of its family from all over the world, representatives of different cultures and religions, because we are sure that the most beautiful garden is the one that includes the most diverse flora.
