Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) is a young and aspiring university in vibrant Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and was the first public university in the country to be awarded the international ranking of five stars by QS Stars.

Established in 1997, Ton Duc Thang University has steadily developed into one of the largest and fastest growing universities in Vietnam with 25,000 students and 900 faculty members. Our international five-star learning environment encompasses five campuses in Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang City, Lam Dong Province and Ca Mau Province in the Mekong Delta region.

We currently have 16 faculties, 60 research groups, as well as 63 up-to-date undergraduate and graduate programs with a focus on high quality research, training and internationalization and many interdisciplinary research opportunities.

Although the main language of teaching at Ton Duc Thang University is Vietnamese, there are still many subjects taught entirely in English in various training programs.

Being equipped with modern amenities and state-of-the-art facilities allows for the consolidation of the many academic disciplines across the university.

Our specialized teaching methodologies and learning environment means that the TDTU INSPiRE library is at the heart of the university. It has designated areas for 24-hour access, group study, independent learning, specialized areas for each major, as well as a cinema, lounge and studio.

Whilst the International Education Center serves to accommodate the learning and teaching for international students and visiting scholars. It’s home to ‘Little UK’, a specialist facility that helps individuals improve their English language skills and to also help them understand when and how to use it in real-life situations.

There are also six additional fully-equipped classrooms dedicated to the teaching and learning of foreign languages, including Korean, Japanese, Chinese and more!

We also have a student counselling and support center, an e-learning system, as well as trained and professional teams including our reception team, social work team and communication team.

For those who enjoy the arts and culture, at Ton Duc Thang University, we’ve established four talent clubs for guitar, the organ, as well as singing and dancing. If you’ve got a keen interest in sport, we have 19 sports clubs, including Muay Thai, Vovinam, swimming, jogging and more. Our Sports Complex can is established as being one of the best training units in the country, can hold up to 3,000 people and is home to both national and international sporting events and tournaments.

We welcome applications from students from all over the world. We currently have 20 nationalities represented on campus (including exchange students), with two percent of full-time students being international.

We offer both on and off campus accommodation for just over 2,200 students and are currently planning to build two more dormitory blocks to accommodate a further 3,000 students. Students can expect to pay 250,000VND (~US$10.77) per month to live in one of our dormitory buildings which offers modern architecture and beautiful gardens to enjoy and relax in.

Within the dormitory buildings there is a mini 24-hour supermarket, canteen, coffee lounge, laundry room, photocopy room, Wi-Fi, as well as a common area that can accommodate up to 300 people and an elevator. In each dormitory bedroom there are also toilet facilities, as well as a wardrobe, bookshelf and a desk.

Students who live in the on-campus dormitories can also participate in the ‘Music Gifts’ program where you’re encouraged to take part in at least one physical activity each week to help maintain a healthy body and healthy mind.

If you wish to enroll in a Vietnamese-taught degree program, you’ll need to have Vietnamese proficiency of level B2 or higher (based on 6-Framework of Reference). This also applies to English-taught degree programs where you should have an English proficiency level of at least a B1 (based on CEFR), or be an English native speaker.
Students who aren’t fluent in English must enroll in language lessons at the university’s Creative Language Center (CLC) and achieve IELTS 5.0 before their graduation.

We also have a broad range of scholarships available for newly admitted international students. Scholarships are awarded based on several merits, including nationality, the particular degree program, as well as previous academic results. Scholarships can also be awarded on academic merit for your studies at Ton Duc Thang University.

We are proud to say that the percentage of our graduates who are in employment one year after graduating is approximately 100 percent.

Whilst studying at Ton Duc Thang University, students are encouraged to take up internships, as well as participate in and attend careers fairs and career search workshops that are organized by the university’s Center of Enterprise Cooperation and Alumni.

We also invite outstanding alumni to join the Business Alumni Club and Student Start-Up Club.
