This MSc aims to equip students with the skills of analysis and design necessary for employment as professional civil engineers and give them a solid academic background for becoming chartered engineers. The Integrated Design route is for those students who want to further specialise in this subject, but also wish to improve their general background in other civil engineering disciplines.
The programme provides students with a strong academic background in a broad range of civil engineering topics, and the advanced skills in problem-solving necessary for a successful career in the sector. Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits.
The programme consists of one core module (60 credits), four optional modules (60 credits) and a research project (60 credits).
A Postgraduate Diploma consisting of one core module (60 credits) and four optional modules (60 credits) is also offered.
Upon successful completion of 180 credits, you will be awarded a MSc in Civil Engineering (with Integrated Design). Upon successful completion of 120 credits, you will be awarded a PG Dip in Civil Engineering (with Integrated Design).
