- Cultivate and exercise university autonomy, in accordance with the Political Constitution of Peru and the laws of the republic, adopting its own system of organization and government both academic and administrative.
- To constantly seek university academic quality through permanent actions of evaluation and university accreditation of its programs and institution.
- Seek the truth, the support of ethical and professional values, and service to the community for its improvement and development.
- Promote pluralism, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, inclusion and freedom of thought, criticism, expression and teaching, with loyalty to constitutional principles, institutional democracy and the university's own fines.
- Reject all forms of violence, intolerance, discrimination and dependence, promoting meritocracy.
- Promote the critical and research spirit, creativity and innovation among the members of the community that conforms it.
