  • Original transcript – must be sent directly to UPR’s administration office

The average tuition for international and non-island resident students is similar to resident students.   

For the 2020-21 academic year, the estimated annual expense for undergraduates studies is $19,863 full-time and $24,080 if in accommodation. 

Funding is available through the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) program, which provides basic financial aid to undergraduate students toward a first academic degree. For international students and non-residents of Puerto Rico, the admission requirements at the University of Puerto Rico are: 

  • Complete the admission application with fee ($30)
  • Original credit transcript from the country of origin (this must be sent directly to UPR’s Administration Office)
  • Copy of passport
  • Copy of your visa
  • Request a course-by-course evaluation from World Education Services (WES)
