The University of Salamanca has around 30,000 students and nine campuses distributed between Salamanca, Ávila, Zamora, Béjar and Villamayor, among which are distributed the faculties and higher schools and all the research centers that cover aspects such as biosciences or lasers, agri-food developments, neurosciences, history studies or basic research, among others. They are joined by centers dedicated to strengthening academic and cultural ties with other countries and cultures such as the Center for Brazilian Studies or the Institute of Ibero-American Studies.
