Universidad del Caribe

The Universidad del Caribe (best known as Unicaribe) is a public higher education institution founded in 2000 and is located in the beautiful, safe and sunny city of Cancun, in México. Although only being founded 10 years ago, the Universidad del Caribe has been evaluated and awarded certifications for its educational quality as well as certifications for its quality program related to administrative processes. This positions our university among the 70 best public universities in Mexico. As we are located in one of the major tourism destinations in Mexico and Latin-American, Unicaribe offers an strategic position for those students or faculty members that would like a career in the hospitality industry as we have agreements with more than 800 companies in the area but also worldwide. As many universities in the world are worried about social responsibility, Unicaribe manages projects related to environmental care, rural community’s education, social development, welfare and scientific research where many of them are co-financed by organizations or the government. Our facilities provide 41 classrooms, 7 workshop laboratories, 17 computer laboratories, sports facilities and student services centres which have been adequate to offer students and faculty members the tools for their successful development.The Unicaribe offers its 2,400 students approximately 7 undergraduate programs at associate and bachelor level and 1 Postgraduate program, based on course credits and includes also professional practice development.The Unicaribe is very conscious about the importance of internationalization, which is why it has been fostering international relations with other HEI’s worldwide. We are members of ANUIES (National Association of Mexican Public Universities, UMAP (University Mobility in Asia and The Pacific); and AMPEI (Mexican Association of International Education) among other international organizations.
