About Universidad Finis Terrae

Finis Terrae University is an autonomous private university based in Santiago de Chile. It’s part of the Anahuac University Network, a group of universities administered by the religious congregation of the Legion of Christ. Spread around the world, from Mexico and the US to Italy and France, the universities within the network aim to “form leaders of positive action” and have close ties to the Catholic faith.

Students based in Santiago de Chile will find themselves in the midst of one of the largest cities in the Americas. Chile’s capital, Santiago is home to seven million people, as well as many multinational corporations. As the country’s industrial and financial center, Santiago has long been an attractive city for migrants from Europe and the US, and has an impressive, skyscraper-filled financial district.

Due to the city being relatively earthquake-prone, few historical buildings remain from the city’s Spanish colonial past. However, there’s still plenty to see, do and explore here. As well as an exhaustive range of museums and libraries, the city is also home to some of Chile’s most successful football clubs and will hold the 2023 Pan American Games.
