Universidad Nacional de la Asunción

Located in the Paraguayan city of San Lorenzo, the Universidad Nacional de Asunción (otherwise known as the National University of Asuncion) is the oldest university in Paraguay. Founded in 1889, the university has grown to encompass a dozen different schools, having initially only focused on law, medicine, mathematics, pharmacy, obstetrics and a clerical school. The university has campuses spread across the whole of Paraguay, with more than a dozen additional locations supplementing the main campus in San Lorenzo.
