University information
Nebrija University offers a clear and personalized admission process for international students. The process varies depending on whether the student is applying independently for a full degree or Master’s program, or coming to Nebrija through an exchange agreement with a partner university.
International Students Applying for a Bachelor’s Degree: International students who wish to complete a full 4- or 5-year Bachelor’s degree at Nebrija apply directly to the University and follow the regular admission process, with the support of a specialized international academic advisor:
- Online application and submission of the required academic and personal documentation.
- Review of academic qualifications and verification that the student meets the requirements for access to the Spanish university system. Requirements vary depending on the student’s country of origin and whether it belongs to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
- Admission assessment, which may include an aptitude test, a personal interview with the academic program director, and a language proficiency assessment.
- Official admission and place reservation once the candidate has successfully completed the admission process.
- Enrollment and final documentation, including, when applicable, legalization, apostille, certified translation, or recognition of the student’s previous secondary education credentials.
- For students who require a Spanish student visa, Nebrija provides the corresponding admission documentation once the necessary enrollment requirements have been completed.
Exchange Students from Partner Universities – Incoming: Students coming to Nebrija for one semester or a full academic year through an exchange agreement follow a different process coordinated by Nebrija’s International Mobility Office – Incoming Department.
The process begins at the student’s home university, which nominates the student under an existing bilateral or Erasmus+ agreement with Nebrija. After nomination, the Incoming team guides the student through the application and registration process. Students generally submit their passport, academic transcript and language certification when required. For courses taught in Spanish, non-native speakers normally need to demonstrate an appropriate level of Spanish; courses taught in English may also require proof of English proficiency.
Three Different Pathways, One International Experience
- Full Bachelor’s Degree → Direct application to Nebrija → Admission → Enrollment → 4–5 years at Nebrija
- Full Master’s Degree → Direct application to Nebrija → Admission → Enrollment → Usually 1 academic year at Nebrija
- Exchange Program → Nomination by partner university → Incoming application → Course selection → 1 semester or 1 academic year at Nebrija
In all three cases, international students receive personalized support before arrival and throughout their academic experience, making the transition to studying and living in Madrid as smooth as possible.
