It was founded in 1995 by former vice president of Peru Raúl Diez Canseco Terry for the purpose of shaping entrepreneurial, ethical, socially responsible leaders committed to the sustainable development of their countries with a global perspective.
Committed to producing highly qualified professionals in different areas of knowledge, USIL offers 41 undergraduate majors through 8 colleges and 10 graduate programs (8 master’s and 2 doctoral degree programs). Some of its programs are offered in partnership with educational institutions such as San Ignacio University in the United States (undergraduate and graduate), France’s Institut Paul Bocuse (undergraduate), and universities based in the United States and England (Center for Global Education). It also offers exchange programs and internships, in partnership with over 230 institutions throughout the world.
Its modern facilities are distributed over five campuses in Lima, which have a total of 80,000 square meters of building space.
