The Degree in Chemistry, at night, trains Chemistry Teachers. The course is structured in accordance with the new guidelines of the National Council of Education, which establishes the development of student activities in pedagogical disciplines during the entire 5 years of its duration. Such activities intend to provide the instrumentation and didactic methodologies necessary for a more adequate formation of the future professional. The disciplines that make up the course are structured around related topics, from research in teaching, preparation of material and didactic chemistry experiments to the use of the history of Chemistry to illustrate the evolution of concepts in the area, the methodologies used and their implications for the current scientific context. The pedagogical core itself it also offers the possibility for the student to opt for guided activities ranging from working with teachers and high school students, either in conducting classes, or in the form of scientific initiation activities. Parallel to this training, there is comprehensive specific training in all the basic areas of Chemistry, starting with Mathematics and Physics.
